Townhill Surgery is part of the Woolston and Townhill Primary Care Network (PCN), which consists of four local GP surgeries; Woolston Lodge, The Old Fire Station, St Peter's Surgery and Townhill Surgery. Covid-19 vaccinations will be delivered by PCNs. We are one of very few PCNs chosen to deliver the Pfizer vaccination.
Our Covid-19 vaccination nominated site is St Peter's Surgery.
When do the clinics start?
The first delivery of vaccines is expected on Monday 14th December and our vaccination programme will commence from Tuesday 15th December. You will only be able to attend if you have been given an appointment.
Who will be vaccinated?
The first group of patients to be vaccinated will be those aged 80 and over who are not in a residential or care home or housebound.
How will I be contacted?
If you are eligible for this round of vaccinations, you will receive a telephone call from a Townhill Patient Coordinator inviting you to an appointment. Don't worry if you haven't heard yet, we are working our way through. Two appointments will be made at the time of booking, one for the initial dose and then a follow up dose 3 weeks later.
When will I be vaccinated?
Below is a list of where each group has been placed in order of priority. We have no addtional detail at present and cannot give you a timeline of when each group can expect to receive the vaccination. As soon as more information is available we will be in contact.
Group 1: Residents in a care home for older adults and their carers;
Group 2: All those 80 years of age and over and frontline health and social care workers
Group 3: All those 75 years of age and over
